Working through Covid-19
Due to Covid-19, we find ourselves unchartered territories: we are “social distancing”, eliminating all “non-essential” travel, and isolating from our friends and family. Another effect, the coronavirus has caused is the cancellations of doctor’s appointment for non-life-threatening issues. However, we at Premier Orthopedics are pragmatists and will stop at nothing to give our patients the care they need and deserve. Therefore, we are launching the option for live online visits, also known as Telemedicine.

What is Telemedicine?
The definition of telemedicine is the delivery of healthcare services through live online video sessions with a health professional. During this time especially Telemedicine will allow patients to see doctors to deal with their knee pain, back pain, feet, shoulder, and more! Telemedicine visits are quick and easy and allow the doctor to give you a prognosis as if you are in-person.

How does it work?
There are three simple steps to complete a Telemedicine visit, the first is to make an appointment is to text “TM” to 362-867 or call us at 201-833-9500. After making an appointment, the second step is to download Zoom from the App and Google Play store. Once you have downloaded Zoom be sure to run a quick test of the technology using this link. After confirming that Zoom works, the third and final step is to log on to Zoom and join the “meeting” (link was sent to you via email) ten minutes prior to the start time. Once your appointment begins will you be able to video chat with the doctor.

Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major insurances. If you have a specific question related to insurance, please call 201-833-9500. Telemedicine visits are billed the same as office visits so expect to pay your normal co-pay.
